I loved this. I was so afraid when I saw this prompt that there would be a bunch of Jack and Ianto 4evah stories. This was just deeply sad in the end. Sad because Jack was never going to give this kind of commitment to Ianto, even had Ianto lived. Sad because Lisa died under such tragic circumstances just as they were deciding they wanted a life together. Sad because at this point in the series, Ianto knew he was going to die young and was never going to have his own wedding.
I think the most arresting image was the smashed corsage on the floor, crushed under someone's boot. Because that's Ianto, for me...someone young and beautiful and infinitely fragile, just at the flush of his bloom, and easily destroyed in the end by accident and carelessness.
